Tess's older, softer spoken, power armored partner.

Nothing is known of her former life as she never tells a soul about it. At some point she was part of a caravan attacked by raiders and appears to have been the only survivor left alone and bleeding out in the wasteland. She was discovered by Tess who was inclined to put her out of her misery, but Rusty was determined to fight and took a shot at Tess who realized that this was someone who wasn't just going to roll over and die. Tess would spend some time and attend to her until she found the strength to move under her own power again- with the assitance of one of the fallen raider's power armor. Now she is Tess' ever-quiet partner, love, and guardian angel: watching over and protecting her with a collection of BIG GUNS she has acquired over the years.

Rusty is notably more mature than her partner and is in her mid-late 30s. She rarely steps out of her power armor, typically doesn't speak around strangers, and is incredibly protective of Tess.
