Jaian Mascotto better known by his internet handle JaianMusic is a one-man band from Canada. He creates original & cover music on YouTube (Rap & Anime Music). He is a freelance composer & certified sound engineer who developed a following through his YouTube content.
His videos consist of podcasts, covers, remixes, original compositions, and demo reel showcases. He releases four to five videos a month. With over 30k fans throughout all of his social media, he has been viewed over 200k times in front of his YouTube Audience.
He is a two-time Indi contest fan favorite. Finishing in first place in a Rap and Voice Over Contest. Both victories featured him on Indi News. Jaian has ranked #1 Nationally on the Reverbnation Rap Charts as well as cracked the top 40 Globally. His works have been played on multiple local radio stations and he has been interviewed on them. He was also featured as a YouTube Talent in aGlue Magazine Article. Furthermore, his of the Death Note Opening cover soundtrack got high praise in an article on ComicBook.com a very popular geek culture website. Finally, he was a guest at the 2017 Montreal YouTube Pop-up Space for having over 10k subscribers on his channel.
In his home studio, Jaian makes rap based music with his project Lunatic Rappers. He is also the sole founder of a Chiptune music project entitled Chip Machine. And he runs Anime Podcasters on his channel, iTunes, Soundcloud, Spotify and Google Play.
In early 2014 he was one of 75 artists who got accepted into Algonquin College's Music Industry Arts Program out of over 500 applicants. There he was prepared to work as a producer, engineer and professional in today’s music industry. He produced multitrack recordings in a real studio environment, learning the full range of audio engineering and music production, as well as the business of the music industry.
In early 2015 he became a verified YouTube Partner. Later on that same year after graduating from Algonquin College's Music Industry Arts Program he did an audiovisual internship at Ere Prodlocated in Nancy, France where he filmed concerts, tracked audio for shows, mixed audio for video productions, edited dialogue for interviews, got to be a member of a stage crew and much more.
On May 21st 2016 he released his Mixtape New World which sported itself thousands of views in its first week on YouTube it included multiple talents from Music Industry Arts program alumni as well as vocalists from Lunatic Rappers. This mixtape got him interviewed on CHUO 89.1 FM.
In August 2016 Jaian decided to change the direction of his channel. He continues to produce Rap music with Lunatic Rappers and Chiptune music with Chip Machine but he decided to focus his content more into the anime genre on YouTube. His content now includes more anime covers, remixes and podcasts.
In the summer of 2017 Jaian got accepted and placed in the top 15% of applicants of Concordia University's Bachelor of Fine Arts Electroacoustic Studies Program. There he created soundscapes for visual media, designed sound effects for video games, practiced electroacoustic composition, learned to use software tools to process analog and digital sounds, mastered stereo, and multi-track recording techniques and gave public performances of his creative works.
In the summer of 2018, he underwent an independent study where he handled the entire production of an extended play that combined Electroacoustic and Chiptune music together. He also took care of the entire digital marketing of this EP.
He currently resides in Montreal, Quebec where he works freelance as a producer, sound designer and musician. He also remains very active on his YouTube Channel with his multiple projects and social media platforms.
