Busy night? [pause] I don’t mean to pry. It’s just, people don’t usually order a black coffee this late unless they’ve got a busy night ahead.
(her voice slowly becomes more charming, persuasive) Yes. I used to be a therapist, you know, and I can tell when people have a problem, something they want to fix but are unsure how to go about it. People who… need my help.
A ballet recital! I always wanted to do ballet, but I’m too clumsy. You must be very graceful to be a ballerina.
