A top spy in Ostia, he first meets Lyn in Araphen and joins her to help rid the castle of enemies. He mysteriously disappears at the end of Lyn’s story, and reappears in Eliwood’s, his allegiance to Ostia no longer a secret.
Matthew is slick and smooth, as you would expect from his profession. However, he has no shame when it comes to hiding from danger or just downright stealing other people's belongings.
