Ritsuko is one of the nurses at the Ozaki Clinic. She deeply cares about her fellow co-workers and the citizens of Sotoba. Role requires the actress to yell loudly.

Voice: There’s not a specific vocal range I’m looking for (AKA, I'm open to a range of voices), just someone that sounds like she’s in her mid-20s to mid-30s.

  • (reassuring) I assure you, ma’am. You’re perfectly safe with us.

  • (worried) The other nurses and I have been talking, and we think that you should take a break.

  • (mournful) You’re asking me to end someone’s life. I can’t do that.

That was good. Once again, the only issues were technical.

I'll see what I can do about the technical difficulties. I work with my colleges Podcast team, so I'll ask the coordinator if I can possibly use the recording booth for auditions if we have extra time once we finish recording an episode of our podcast. It's a professional setup. Would a pop-filter help?

[This applies to both your Nao and Ritsuko auditions] I don't think you're too close to the mic, and a pop filter should help somewhat, but I honestly can't think of a free or relatively cheap solution for the audio since I'm still new at all this myself.

Hm. . .Do you think it could be my microphone that's the issue?

The microphone could be the issue, but I highly recommend that you look at your financial situation and research microphone options before investing in a new one. You don't want to make an impulse buy based on info from some random guy who doesn't know what he's talking about (for example, me). I know the blue yeti is a popular option (although expensive). I currently using a snowball ice with some editing in audacity, but I'm not sure about its audio quality since I haven't auditioned for anything with it. They're probably a ton more options out there that I don't know about.

Okay, thank you. My birthday isn't to far off (June) and hopefully by then I will have enough money saved to buy one. Or I could wait until Black Friday and buy one online for a cheaper price.
