If sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, The Devil is the lowest of the low. His sharp put downs are thinly masked by his British aristocratic tone. He can seem nice when he needs to be and if there’s a deal to be made he will turn on the charm, a little bit like John Cleese in Fawlty Towers. He’s pretty laid back for the most part but every so often a the player will get a glimpse into his wrath and aggression.
[The Devil takes a deep breath and places his focus toward the player - his tone is complete recovered from the little outburst]
"Ah yes, hello! Pleased to meet you, if you didn’t guess, I’m The Devil."
[Looking over his clipboard for your information, slightly distracted as he does so]
"Right, so you’re here because you want fame and money but your music stinks."
"That’s too bad... "
[It sounds like there is no hope but he’s a salesman]
"Well you have come to the right place my friend, I’ve helped the best of them, from Paganini to Page, I just love to make a deal with a musician, you’re all so debauched."
