Dr. Deern was Fran's psychiatrist while she was in the asylum. He was shown to not be intentionally an antagonist, but only following the rules, as hinted by Palontras. Throughout the entire game, he is the only member of the Oswald Asylum that showed any form of sympathy or compassion to Fran.
Voice Type: Dr. Deern's voice should be too old, but in the stage between middle age and old age. I would like for him to have a well educationed voice since he is a psychiatrist.
[[Bringing Fran back from hypnosis]] "Fran... please, follow my voice. On the count of three, you will wake up... One... Two... Three... Fran, how do you feel?"
[[Sees Fran faint, very concerned]] "Oh, no! Take her back to her room! And nurse... don't let her take this ever again."
[[Sees Fran hurt, frantic]] "Fran? Are you alright?! What have you done with her?!"
