Asriel Dreemurr will not necessarily be the same voice as Flowey (spoilers, I guess.) Males and Females can audition, but this will be both for the God of Hyperdeath and for the child form. Mezzo-tenor/baritone.

  • Finally…I was getting so tired of being a flower… Chara? Are you there?It's me… your best friend… Asriel Dreemurr.

  • I really screwed this up... for everyone, didn't I?

  • (Sing any song - see description for specifications)

Kinda dumb, but for that last bit I thought it might be fun if Hyperdeath Asriel, as a sort of voice modification thingy, harmonized with himself, ehe;;

    Your first takes of the lines definitely sounded better - the other takes of the first line felt like you were going lower in the voice for no particular reason, and the growling take didn't help you, whereas the other takes for the second line didn't sound quite as "in the moment". The first song sounded a bit like an aggressive stalker, which Asriel sort of is, but the song is when he's a kid and more innocent. The self-harmonization thing doesn't work - your main voice drowns out the other one. Thanks for auditioning!

      Ahhh, thank you for the review! Um, do you mind if i ask you a few questions before I try to resubmit?

        There's nothing stopping you from asking questions :)

          Yay, cool!! 1. M-maybe this isn't the best assumption, but it doesn't seem like you care too much for the first takes either; If I was to redo this, what would you recommend as far as changing those? 2. How would you go about making the voice drop seem more deliberate as a means of communicating a transformation of the character? Or do you think something like that is kinda cheesy? 3. I'm sorry, but, I don't hear the stalker aspect you're talking about, w-would you mind clarifying what made it come across that way? N-not that I don't believe you! That's just a fantastic failure on my part and I really wanna make sure I never sound like a stalker ever, unless asked to play a stalker, and then the points would be doubly helpful. Sorry, I hope these questions aren't too troublesome, and again thank you so much for your time and care!!

            1. If I seem like I don't care for takes, that might be because I have received far more auditions than I thought I would get. As a result, I'm having to be more and more discerning, nothing but the best and all that. What I didn't hear in your first take was specificity. For every sentence, you were playing a mood, rather than a situation - general ideas of relief, excitement, etc. Every character has a reason WHY they say what they say, and general emotions are rarely, if ever, the reason. 2. Right now the dropping of the voice seems a little exaggerated. I get where you're coming from, trying to make a transition from Child Asriel to Hyperdeath Asriel more obvious, but it's more about a shift in attitude than a shift in octave. Being more sinister, or more darkly joyful (because LOOK AT ALL THIS POWER), there are several choices one could make. What's important to keep in mind is believability. For one, if you don't believe in what you're saying, no one else will, and for two, EXAGGERATED CHOICES AND PROJECTION don't work, especially when, like Asriel, you're talking to just one person. 3. It's not "I want to wear you as a skin suit" stalker, more "I prioritize being with you over everything else to an unhealthy degree" stalker. What you communicated via the first song was neediness and desperation, but Asriel also wants to comfort this child. He wants to be their friend, but he wants them to like him, rather than it being one-sided. Sorry if these answers sound a little harsh - I just want people to audition with their best, and honesty is the best method I know of to get them there!

              Harsh?! Far from it!! I kinda shoulda seen the specificity bit coming, but all of this is solid gold, if anything I'm super happy I auditioned now solely because you broke down my audition so thoroughly!! That's super duper rare for a director tot do, so you have no idea how much I appreciate it! And I'm super glad it wasn't the skin suit kind, thank you for specifying;; I'll try my absolute hardest to apply all of these in my second take, thank you so so so much for your time and care!!
