No one expects the end to happen when it does. You usually think it happens somewhere far off into the future long after you good and dead. But no expected it to happen so soon. Some expected a meteor or a nuclear holocaust or some long foretold prophecy; but in the end, nature took its toll on humanity’s ignorance. From the melt ice-caps came the floods, smokey volcanoes, earthquakes, and electrical storms. After Mother Nature reaped her havoc, there was finally silence after a year of hell...or so they thought. From the depths of the shadows, “they” came: monster from your darkest dreams to the horror tales that were told to those who were young. Due to the new chaos before them, humanity built thirteen fortified structures called Sectors across the country to protect themselves against the monsters. Even with the Sectors standing tall and strong, humanity still didn’t stand a chance against the monsters...until now. Due to the radiation that was emitted into the air, some humans who were exposed were granted special abilities that would stand up against the legions of darkness: these were called Spexes. Those who were not blessed with gifted soon found other means to fight back through the long forgotten magical arts. Now, humanity has waged a decade long war against the monsters and dark mages in order to reclaim the Earth for themselves.
