Role assigned to: Voicecast Freeman EdenG

Male, late 20s.  Once a priest, the mild-mannered Rosetta left the church for his own personal reasons.  Feeling responsible for the murder of a “dear friend” because of his inability to curb Darcsen discrimination via his pulpit of faith and acceptance, he hung up his frock for good and joined the army.  Reserved and effeminate, Rosetta presents himself as female.  Sensitive to a fault and bearing the full weight of guilt on his shoulders, Rosetta wishes he was able to do more to save his friend from dying at the hands of bigoted extremists.  Godwin is not the only broken man Nico encounters...

Voice type:  Medium/medium-high, but open to interpretation.  Light, gentle and airy, androgynous. Men and women are welcome to audition for this role.

  • “You see, I was inducted into the priesthood by a Darcsen.  He was... my friend.  A gentle and loving man.  He was a Darcsen rights activist, whose many supporters worked day and night to fight against bigotry and hatred.  (very sad and near tears)  But in the end, his dreams never came true.  He was shot and killed by extremists, during a peaceful protest.”

  • “Everywhere he went he was met with cold hearts and closed doors.  The only person he could rely on was himself.”

  • “You're the one acting childish here.  Nico didn't deserve you blowing up in her face, and you know it.  Or do you really think you're the only one in this world who's ever had it rough?”

I'm definitely hearing a computer fan running in the background - how close if your mic to the computer? It's really affecting the quality of your audition. I can sense that you're struggling to speak in a lower register because it doesn't sound entirely natural - you definitely did your best though. Also try and not to sound so monotone at times; it will help your read sound more interesting. Hope the feedback helps! :)

oh I really didn't hear the computer fan, sorry about that! and yes I did think speaking low was a challenge but speaking naturally for a male character even if presenting as female felt weird. This was a long shot anyway so I appreciate you giving feedback!
