Doctor Stein is one of the teachers present on the DWMA campus and perhaps the most seasoned Meister in Death City. Being the straight man of the group, Stein is often the voice of reason concerning Lord Death's ridiculous plans and actions. His intelligence isn't just for show either. Stein prides himself on being academically superior to just about everyone around him. Unlike his anime/manga counterpart, Stein's delusions and occasional descent into madness are not covered in this parody. Instead, he is portrayed as a hardened/seasoned veteran, constantly smoking and offering off-handed advice whether the other characters want it or not.
For Stein's vocal range, we're looking for someone who can cover mid to late 40's in terms of age; something grizzled and tired of all the bullshit around him.
(to Maka and Soul) In order to defeat Medusa, you two have to become better partners. As it stands, one of you is a narcissist and the other is a bit of a pushover. If your souls can't match each other's wavelength, you may never be able to fight again. Think of it as one of those "circle of life" type of things.
(smoking a cigarette; looking to Medusa) I didn't wanna kill you, you know. Maybe it was foolish of me to think, but we could've made a great team, you and I. Two souls blackened by the darkness in their hearts. How destructive a force that could've been.
(sighs) This is what happens when two partners don't share the same wavelength. I'll go get the fire department.
