Teika is a monster who takes the orphaned monster human hybrid child Ryu under his wing. He normally wears a yellow smiley face mask, a fedora, trench coat, and brown pants/boots over his long slender body. He is almost 9 feet tall, looming over anyone he comes across. However, thanks to his flexibility, he can get where he wants to. His intentions with Ryu are unclear, but as the series progresses Teika becomes father like to Ryu. He is very protective of Ryu, and would without hesitation give his life up for her.
