Failed Experiment 001 was the result of an experiment where the goal was to improve tissue growth in the human body. After 3 weeks of testing, an organism who was made up of the combination of an immense amount of human skin and organs was found in the testing chamber. No humans were found, but physical attributes to this organism provided enough detail to support the conclusion that everyone's bodies mutated and 'melted' together.
They were then locked in the testing chamber, now transformed into a containment cell.
