Timothy was born in the town of Ashington, England, to a fairly modest household. From the time he learned how to read and write basic sentences, he was interested in poetry - starting with Seussian rhyme, and growing into Homer and Poe over time. His skills quickly garnered attention from the local news, where he was featured for numerous wins in competitions between his peers, but still, poetry remained a hobby for the first years of his life. However, mere days after his thirteenth birthday, he was contacted by somewhat of a celebrity in the poetry world, Sir Wilfred Francis.

A man mostly known within academic circles, Francis had written over 1000 published works, and was known as the greatest poet in England. He called upon Timothy to be his apprentice, following the boy’s entry into his first national competition. His submission caught the man’s eye, being far beyond that of the other semi-finalist entries that had passed his desk. Under Francis, Timothy gained national fame, with his first collection of poems being published within a larger collection at age fifteen, selling a modest twenty thousand copies. His talent and his acclaim continued to grow, until he received a letter from Hope’s Peak, inviting him to be a student. He talked with his parents, his mentor, and was on a plane only a week later, ready to begin life anew.

  • “I don’t believe we’ve met, either; though I suppose I need not introduce myself! And you are Ryohei, correct?…it is pronounced Tim-o-thy if you were interested…”

  • “You expect us to kill again over our careers? We’ve already been faced with a similar threat! It’s not like this is any different…besides - you can’t stop me from writing poetry unless you prevent any and all communication. Good luck…”
