Rei comes from a family of governmental workers, with everyone in her immediate family either being senators, lawyers or defendants. She refused to become a lawyer at first, but became determined to be one after one of her best friends was wrongfully convicted of a murder, saving her from being imprisoned. She has since been given special grants from the government to officially become a lawyer with the conditions of finishing high school at the top of her class. Rei is incredibly intelligent, but also humble, never bragging about her accomplishments. She separates her friends and enemies in a clear-cut way, with her attitude being vastly different depending on who she talks to.
