It's a shame, you have a great voice, tons of texture, but it sounds like your recording on a pretty cheap usb microphone. It's killing me on the inside to not be able to consider you. Send me a message if you ever want to discuss setting up a budget recording station.

Hah! That speaks more to my setup and doing quick one-offs during work more than anything else, the mic in question is an E100S. I figured a cold read would get the point across well enough since it was only one line. There's also an ill-advised level of compression thrown on there.
