The main antagonist in the Drift miniseries. He and his species are on a quest for immortality by attempting to upgrade their physiology through technological augmentation. He leads an army of slave traders who kidnap various alien species, study and dissect them, and add any traits to their bodies as needed. Braid becomes intrigued by the resilience of the Cybertronian race, of how they’ve managed to live throughout millions of years of war, and wishes to add their physiology to his own. Cunning, devious, and ruthless, Braid will go to whatever means necessary in order to get what he wants, even if it means slaughtering the innocent to achieve his goals.
