James Jordan's father DeAngelo Jordan is a police detective for The Memphis Police Department. He's a family man who has a stern, commanding presence but is secretly a soft spoken, nerdy man of superhero comic books and use his position as a cop to save people and live his dream of being a hero he sees himself to be.
Give him a soft baritone police officer family man voice.
[As he analysis a crime scene]
Hmm...Places are being blown up to smithereens, all entertainment targeted, all have.
[Sighs in slight Frustration then to an Inner monologue]:
Arson against every popular theatrical event around the city, mostly musical landmarks around town… So clearly a extreme individual. A terrorist attack? Or something else…?[Interrogating concerning his missing son James]:
Tara, are you absolutely sure there’s nothing you need to tell us? Anything, anything at all?[Towards his wife Ionie after receiving a pleasant gift from her]:
Ionie… have I told you how much I love you? [kisses]
what microphone are you using? the quality is fine but iffy to me. You've got the right attitude for DeAngelo and that he's a rather serious individual. I think the best take you did with the last remaining lines where you seem to get used to the lines more. Especially in the Ionie, "I love you line". The issue is that you don't really have much added personality to make the character stand out by himself. Make your audition/take on this character your own to stand out from the others (and most stern father detective type characters). So yeah a re-take is surely necessary
