Kate is a very introverted girl, and is only really friends with Melanie, and sometimes a couple others when she's in a GOOD mood. She is a junior at the school, and LOVES reading and writing, since writing is the only way she really releases her thoughts outside of Melanie. She is the only one that knows Melanie's secret. She is bisexual, and is thought to have a crush on Melanie by some of her other friends. She can be considered somewhat emo.
