    I used the voice recording program that's on my PC.

      Well, there's a free program called audacity and it doesn't have any viruses or anything. It's the best free recording system, you can also cut out sound and the buzzing in some areas. When recording, to reduce echo I suggest recording in a small room or with a blanket over yours and the microphones head.
