LOVE: An Undertale Series (Voice Actors)
Kunami13 for Asgore (Backup)
This is the barrier. This is what keeps us all trapped underground. ...if...if by chance you have any unfinished business... Please do what you must. Continue... or go back.
*gasps* (happily) Tori... You came back! (cautiously)...Tori... You're right... *looks down at the ground* (defeated and holding back tears) I am a miserable creature... *slowly looks up* but, (hopeful) do you think we can at least be friends again?
Asgore: Tori, this is not an easy decision for me to make. I-I... (a defeated tone) I miss them too... and there is no way for them to ever come back to us
Toriel: (crying and shouting) So then why would you do this?! We... we finally had... peace
Asgore: I understand, Toriel, but we have to look at this realistically. I have thought this through to the very end. With seven human souls absorbed, our people will finally be free and—
Toriel: NO, Asgore! We will not be free. (quietly) We were never free there. And you're too much of coward to admit it. (very accusatory) You don't really have it in you to murder a child, do you?
Asgore: (upset) That's not fair, Tori—
Toriel: (like a queen) Silence!
(There is a very awkward silence between the two of them as Toriel looks at Asgore like she's never looked at him before. Her eyes are filled with pure and utter disappointment)
Toriel: (suspiciously) The only real way for you to do this is to take the soul of one human, pass through the barrier to the surface yourself—
Asgore: No...
Toriel: —and take six other human souls. Then return here to break the barrier and free us all
Asgore: There is another way, my dear
Toriel: (sternly and annoyed) What other way could there possible be, Dreemurr? You're opening the barrier forwar, not peace, remember?
Asgore: Tori, dear, that hurts...
Toriel: Not as much as having you refer to me with my nickname
Asgore: (impatiently) ...Toriel... if you would just... (slightly angry) LISTEN for one second, you would understand where I'm coming from
Toriel: *sighs* Fine. I'm listening
Asgore: I will not go out there with one human soul to face the humans alone. Where would the kingdom be if I too turned to dust? The best way to do this is to wait
Toriel: ...
Asgore: Wait for seven more humans to fall down here, just like Chara
Toriel: (in disbelief) What...?
Asgore: (slightly excited to speak) Take their souls, and then pass through the barrier. That way, I will have absorbed enough souls to become strong enough to fight against the humans. *grabs Toriel's shoulders* This plan cannot fail! Tori... *looks her dead in the eyes* (seriously) We can win the war this time!
(Asgore looks fiercely and desperately into Toriel's eyes, searching for some kind of approval. But as the silence continues to pass, so too does the eerie realization that their parent hearts aren't the only thing that's broken)
Toriel: *pushes Asgore's hands off of her* (trying not to cry) You really are a coward...
Asgore: (in disbelief) What are you saying?
Toriel: (voice breaking) You would rather sit down here... waiting for centuries for your perfect seven before freeing your own kind. You rushed us into war... only to let us sit and fester here in anger
Asgore: (saddened) No, Tori, that isn't what I—
Toriel: (shouting) Our monsters are not humans, Asgore! We are much better than that!
(With enough distance between the two of them, Toriel raises her arms defensively as they catch aflame. She throws a fireball at her husband, who quickly and easily dodges it. Instead, the fireball lands on one of their two throne chairs and it violently catches fire. Asgore stares at Toriel in disbelief as her tear-stained eyes glow fiercely against the light of the fire. His patience is wearing thin, as he pulls out his trident to defend himself )
Asgore: (angrily) Well what would you have me do then? (gradually getting louder) Keep our people sitting down here, blindly suffering while we continue to lose everything that we have ever loved?! Your son was my son too! And we lost him up there to disgusting, coldblooded, merciless BEASTS!
Toriel: (shouting) How dare you put LOVE into our hearts, Dreemurr!
(He slams his trident down in the ground. A crack forms and surrounds them both. Fire soars upward, only to calm down after a few seconds)
Asgore: (shouting back) I will do what is right for my citizens. And you can either follow your king, or leave the New Home that we worked so hard building together!
Thanks for your audition!
thank you for listening! I hope you enjoyed!
