Kamala's a very enthusiastic young superhero. She often tries to handle as much as she can on her own, before she will call for help. This is a the very beginning of the script, when Kamala is fighting off the mob of goo monsters, but realizes she will be late for class. So, she calls her friend, Bruno, to cover for her.
