Lex is a hardened war vet stationed on the ship because they saw fit that he wasn't Mentally strong enough or physically strong enough to serve in the main Army anymore. he's the type of soldier to always follow orders and do everything that his Commanding Officer says. he often treats Del as a little brother or the son he never had so he will protect Dell with his life. Lex despises Peter not because Peter is better than him but because Peters an imbecile and an idiot.
