Long-Term Narrators for a Reddit Story Confessions YouTube Channel (Male + Female, Paid)
Barbie H. for Lead Female Narrator (mature voice, sounds 35–65)
Lead Female Narrator (mature voice, sounds 35–65)
Lead role: the voice of every female-POV story. Mothers, wives, sisters and daughters telling the secret they kept for years. About 1–2 scripts a week to start, each 15–20 minutes of finished audio.
Voice: sounds 35–65. Warm, grounded, mid-to-low register, steady. Natural American accent (General American or a light regional accent). Believable as a woman in her forties or in her sixties looking back.
Delivery: intimate and honest, like telling one person the truth at 2 a.m. Quiet strength over drama: the emotion sits under the words, not on top of them. About 145–155 words per minute, with real pauses before reveals. No announcer read, no over-acting.
Deliverables: within 48 hours of receiving the script. WAV, 48 kHz, 24-bit, mono, one file per PART of the script. Dry: no music, reverb or heavy processing (light noise cleanup only). Peaks around -3 dB. Quiet, treated room with no hum, echo or mouth clicks.
AUDITION SCRIPT: record all of it in one take (about 75 seconds)
Direction: close to the mic, quiet and conversational, as if you're telling one person. Take a real beat at each (pause). No edits, music or effects. Leave 5 seconds of silence at the end so we can hear your room.
Every Mother's Day for thirty-one years, I've signed a card to a woman who didn't give birth to me. She has no idea I know.
(pause)
I was nineteen when I found the letters. I never told her. And I never told my father.
This is my confession.
They were in a shoebox in the garage, under the Christmas lights. Twelve letters from the same hospital, all addressed to my father. The first one was dated two weeks before I was born.
I read every one of them sitting on that cold concrete floor. Then I put them back exactly the way I found them... lights on top, lid taped shut... and I went inside and helped her make dinner.
I told myself keeping that secret was the kindest thing I'd ever done.
(two-second pause)
Then last November, a woman I'd never met knocked on my door. And she had my eyes.
Some doors stay locked for a reason. This one's open now.
