Maximus is a templar of the Light, a faith built around the Unblinking. He carries scripture into battle as litanies sealed in wax to his armor, and his shield is a holy book.

Don't mistake him as a gentle paladin healer... Maximus is a zealot, a righteous crusader who believes in purging by fire. To him, everyone is guilty, and when he stands over the condemned, only one question is on his mind:

“Shall we carry out your sentence... sinner?”

Voice: Male, 30-55, deep to mid-low register. Commanding and composed. At times, vindictive too.

Reference: Garen from League of Legends, particularly the God-King Garen skin.

We love his commanding presence here. There is a hint of humor to the character as well which we would like to bring out from time to time.

The sides they read from:

  • Chosen Hero dialogue: Nothing hides from the Light. (Calm, like stating a fact)

  • Hero win dialogue: Everyone is guilty. You were simply first. (Authorative and commanding)

  • Hero loss dialogue: Even martyrs... keep score. (Through gritted teeth, the hero is hurt/dying)
