Nym is a young woman determined to build her journalism career starting with what she's most passionate about: conspiracies. She wants to expose truths and see justice done. However, she's having a bit of trouble being taken seriously.
Nym is very sweet and naive, despite trying her hardest to be a hard boiled investigative journalist. During the show she grows to be more realistic, optimistic, and open minded.
We are looking for a bubbly and enthusiastic voice for Nym. Someone with an excellent range, who can make the journey from naive and gullible to sensible and strong.
Ideally we would have the option to work with the actor over Skype or Discord for some rehearsals before finalizing performances.
People of colour are strongly encouraged to audition.
[DETERMINED] "I don’t know who they think they’re fooling, but I am not taken in."
[SCARED] "Oh god. [PAUSE] No. No, I’m not letting them scare me off. Come on, Nym. You can do this. [QUIETLY] I can do this."
[GENTLY, THOUGHTFULLY] "She must have locked the file so you couldn’t find it, I guess. She was hurting and lashed out at you. I did that a bit after my parents died. I still feel shitty about how I treated some people, I'd undo it if I could. She must have felt awful about it."
