Paid: Flat Rate 40 USD

Lead role: the voice of every male-POV story. Fathers, husbands, brothers and sons confessing something they did years or decades ago. About 1–2 scripts a week to start, each 15–20 minutes of finished audio.

Voice: sounds 50–70. Warm, weathered, low-to-mid register, unhurried. Natural American accent (General American or a light regional accent). Believable saying "I'm seventy years old now."

Delivery: intimate and restrained, like telling one person the truth at 2 a.m. About 145–155 words per minute, with real pauses before reveals. No announcer read, no trailer voice, no over-acting. The story carries the drama.

Deliverables: within 48 hours of receiving the script. WAV, 48 kHz, 24-bit, mono, one file per PART of the script. Dry: no music, reverb or heavy processing (light noise cleanup only). Peaks around -3 dB. Quiet, treated room with no hum, echo or mouth clicks.

AUDITION SCRIPT: record all of it in one take (about 75 seconds)
Direction: close to the mic, quiet and conversational, as if you're telling one person. Take a real beat at each (pause). No edits, music or effects. Leave 5 seconds of silence at the end so we can hear your room.

My brother spent eleven months in juvenile detention for a fire he didn't set. I know he didn't set it... because I did.
(pause)
I was fourteen. He was sixteen. And when the sheriff asked which one of us struck the match, I looked at the floor and let him answer.
This is my confession.
I want to tell you he forgave me. It would make this easier to say. But he never knew. Forty-three years, and he never knew. He came home thinner. Quieter. He stopped calling me by my nickname, and I never asked him why.
At his wedding, I gave the toast. I told a room full of people he was the bravest man I'd ever known... and I meant every word. That's the part that still keeps me up at night.
Last spring, he called me from the hospital. He said there was something he needed to tell me, before it was too late.
(two-second pause)
He already knew.
