Confronted by the overwhelming, world-class standard of international soccer and crushed by the raw reality of the global stage, Sae’s original ego as a striker was utterly shattered. He adapted by adopting a chillingly pragmatic, detached worldview, abandoning his dream of scoring goals to become the world's best midfielder instead.

Voice description:

The sides they read from:

  • "I agreed to join the team because I heard I'd get to play against the Blue Lock guys, but if this is the kind of School Team-Level trash, you're going to throw me in; I'm backing out".

  • "Hey, Rin... [It] turns out [that] the world is huge. There are players better than me out there. I've changed my dream; instead of becoming the best striker, I will become the best midfielder in the world".

  • "its rude to be sticking you're tongue out like that"
