I’m looking for artists to help create the finished artwork for Are You Watching?, an illustrated My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic audio drama adaptation.

Artists in this role will work from an approved storyboard, script, character references, and visual direction. The storyboard will establish the composition and action of each shot, and selected artists will turn those rough boards into polished final illustrations for the episode.

Artwork may include full scene illustrations, character-focused shots, expression variants, pose variations, background work, lighting passes, and other reusable visual assets.

The production is designed to feel visually active, with frequent image changes rather than leaving the same picture on screen for long stretches. Because of that, there will be a wide variety of art assignments, ranging from major full illustrations to smaller variants and character reaction shots.

You do not need to be able to do every type of artwork. Different artists may be assigned work based on their strengths, such as character art, backgrounds, coloring, lighting, expressions, or complete scene illustrations.

A strong understanding of My Little Pony character anatomy and expressive posing is preferred, but an exact imitation of the television show’s art style is not required. Consistency, readability, and the ability to follow storyboard direction are especially important.

There is currently no fixed limit on the number of artists who may be selected for this role. Multiple artists may be brought onto the project depending on applications, production needs, style compatibility, and workload. The number of available positions is effectively open until further notice.

Please include a portfolio or several examples of your work. MLP/pony artwork is especially helpful, but not required if your portfolio demonstrates strong character work, illustration, or visual storytelling.

This project is currently in pre-production. The role is presently listed as unpaid because funding is not yet secured, though my intention is to compensate contributors if the project receives funding. Workload, deadlines, and compensation will be discussed before substantial production work begins.
