This is a multi-character supporting role for feminine-voiced minor characters and background characters throughout Are You Watching?.

Rather than casting every small character individually, selected performers from this category may portray a variety of characters across the series.

These may include:

  • Canterlot and Ponyville residents

  • Librarians and archivists

  • Academy students and faculty

  • Palace staff

  • Royal officials

  • Nurses and medical staff

  • Merchants and shopkeepers

  • Scholars and researchers

  • Guards

  • Parents and older adults

  • Background ponies

  • Minor named characters with relatively small speaking roles

Some characters may appear for only a few lines, while others may return occasionally across multiple episodes.

Vocal versatility is strongly encouraged. Performers do not need to create extreme “cartoon voices”; believable differences in age, personality, pitch, rhythm, accent, and attitude are often enough to distinguish characters.

If a performer is particularly well suited to a minor named character, they may become that character’s regular voice for future appearances.

There is no single required voice for this category.

I am primarily looking for performers who can create several believable and clearly distinguishable characters while maintaining natural acting.

Range can include young adults, middle-aged characters, elderly characters, formal professionals, casual townsponies, excitable students, stern officials, warm caregivers, and comedic background characters.

Please prioritize acting over exaggerated voices.

Canon-inspired performances are welcome where appropriate, but exact impressions are not required.

Please audition using the same microphone and general recording environment you would use during production. Clean audio with minimal background noise and room echo is important.

  • Voice 2 — Professional / Authoritative: “This section of the archive is restricted. If you have Crown authorization, I'll need to see it before we continue.”

  • Voice 3 — Character of your choice: Show me something noticeably different from your first two voices. This may be an elderly pony, student, guard, merchant, scholar, comedic character, etc. Please briefly identify what kind of character you are portraying before each take.
