(FEEL FREE TO REPEAT LINES IN YOUR AUDITION IF NEEDED, I don't mind how many times you repeat the lines in your recording, or how long the audition track is as long as you have fun with them, do your best,  and say the lines how you want to present them)


Odin is a smart, awkward, and timid kid who gets scared easily. He's also Crane's almost equally as nerdy childhood friend. He helps Crane in her monster fighting duties, but he does his best to make due with the fact that he's only human. With his book smarts and inventive nature, he's able to mix a variety of potions and create runes to aide Crane when she needs assistance.

For Odin, I'm looking for a friendly but timid voice that knows how to be a coward. But in a pinch he knows how to suck it up and fight, so I need a brave way of speaking too, but don't make him too confident, he's TRYING his best not to be scared . This voice can be played by a boy OR girl depending on performance. 

As with Crane, the extra lines are just there for fun if you want to add and give'em a try!

  • (scared/ inquiring) Crane this place is giving me the creeps, are you sure we'r e going the right way?....(extra line)  Did that tree just growl at me?....

  • (nervous but brave) Of course I'm scared....b-but I want to help too. I can't let you do this on your own! 
    (extra line) oh man oh man! Think Odin THINK! What would Crane do?...

  •  Well human heads are said to weigh about 9-11 pounds...n-not that I'm calling your head fat or anything! I mean...I'll..just stop talking now...(extra line awkward reassuring) On the bright side the exercise is great for your arms!...i think

I think you did a really good job interpreting this character. You nailed his personality, but about a 1/2 second of spacing between the takes would have made it more digestible. An audition is the producer's first impression of the actor, if it is rushed it won't inspire confidence. Always give the client your best work, even if it takes couple more days. That aside, I do think you've got a good voice for this role.

If you want I could do it again? Like I said I had to get somewhere quickly to take a test but I really wanted to audition before more competition joined in. I went to your link to view your character art and after looking at him I figured you’d want a much younger voice than what others have been giving you...he just looks like he’d have a younger voice so that’s what I gave him. You can check my profile and demo reels for references for what I can really do though. Thanks for your consideration!
