Bea is a no-nonsense old lady with a lot of warmth beneath her bluntness. She is Emery's mother, and a mechanic.
Bea has a very emotional moment late in her arc, so we are looking for a voice that is rich and evocative as much as it is familiar and warm.
Ideally we would have the option to work with the actor over Skype or Discord for some rehearsals before finalizing performances.
Please note - while the character is Australian, we would much rather have a non-Australian accent for them than a fake Australian one. We are an Australian production team and do not wish to comb through inauthentic accents. If you are not Australian, that is fine - just speak in your normal accent. You'll still be considered.
People of colour are strongly encouraged to audition.
[TERSELY] "That's enough. We don’t know why the drive failed, there’s no use in being hysterical."
