Essence of Humanity: PILOT EPISODE
saanyan for Roxanne UNIT CC0I
Roxanne UNIT CC0I
A mother by design, a mother by choice — It seems. Roxanne was originally created to care for children, and even after gaining autonomy, she still carries many of those qualities with her: She is patient, attentive, caring, and remarkably composed. Warm and charismatic, Roxanne is the kind of person who can make almost anyone feel comfortable around her.
Though not particularly soft-spoken or timid; Roxanne does not need to raise her voice to make it clear that she means business. The constant state of danger had shaped her in a certain way.
Yet, for all the choices she has made, Roxanne has never been entirely certain where her programming ends and she begins.
Ability to portray realistic emotional expression without overplaying or cartoonish exaggeration, as well as perform intense emotions, loud lines, and convey a strong sense of the “moment” when needed.
Despite the softness that seems almost inherent to it, Roxanne’s voice remains firm and assured. Her tone sits in the mid-to-low range, with natural depth. Yeah? Y-Yeah, that’s me. Is there a problem? I’m sure we can work it out. [Initially slightly caught off guard, with a very brief, almost imperceptible hesitation on “Y-Yeah.” She quickly regains her composure, becoming clear and confident — Firm without sounding threatening or overly gentle]
Hey, girls. Girls. Girls! Eyes on me when I’m talking to you, would we? [Begins in a completely calm, composed tone. Her voice suddenly rises on “Girls!”, not quite a shout, but loud enough to immediately command someone's attention. She then returns to a softer tone, with a slight hint of disappointment on “would we?”. The delivery should remain fluid, with no noticeable stumbles or prolonged pauses].
Oh, that’s so nice of you. I’m sure the world never saw that invention coming… That’s great, though. Keep it up. [A slight hint of sarcasm at first. She laughs briefly, then deliberately and smoothly cuts herself off(after “coming”). Her tone shifts into one of genuine approval and satisfaction, becoming noticeably softer]
