Officer Daniel Mercer

OFFICER DANIEL MERCER

Role: Male Police Officer
Voice: Mature, calm, observant, and slightly authoritative. He should sound reassuring around Darr and Mike, but increasingly suspicious as he investigates the scene.

Audition Line 1 — Concerned, approaching Darr and Mike
“You boys okay?”

Audition Line 2 — Reassuring
“You’re the one who called, right? Alright, Darr. You did the right thing. Just stay here with your friend.”

Audition Line 3 — Reporting over radio
“Carter, I’m on scene. One victim, two witnesses, and no suspect in sight.”

Audition Line 4 — Investigating
“No sign of forced entry that I can see. Nothing in this hallway suggests somebody came through here.”

Audition Line 5 — Suspicious, quieter
“Carter… something’s not adding up.”

Audition Line 6 — Questioning Darr and Mike
“Alright, boys. I know this is difficult, but I need you to walk me through everything that happened tonight.”

Audition Line 7 — Disturbed realization
“If nobody entered this room after Ava came inside… then how did this happen?”
