Jasper

Jasper is quiet, soft-spoken, and watches more than he talks. People drain him. Animals don’t. He would rather sit with a cat than play camp politics.

He is autistic. Social noise is expensive. He stays under the radar: hunched, fidgeting the cat-charm bracelets, answering with a look, a lean away, or a tiny smirk. Talking is rare. If he trusts you, it opens — better eye contact, less slouch, real sentences. That is earned.

He is not blank. He is particular. The keys and the cat are the parts of the carnival that make sense to him.
