Additional Writers will work alongside the Lead Writer and Creator/Showrunner to help develop, revise, and strengthen scripts for The Expressionists.

This role is intended for writers who are comfortable collaborating within an established story and contributing to specific scenes, episodes, dialogue, character moments, or revisions rather than being solely responsible for the overall direction of the series.
This is for someone who is looking to get into writing and script editing rather than anyone experienced.

Depending on the needs of the production, responsibilities may include:

• Writing or assisting with individual scenes and sequences

• Revising dialogue and character interactions

• Helping develop episode drafts from existing outlines

• Reviewing scripts for pacing, clarity, and consistency

• Editing and polishing completed drafts

• Helping maintain continuity between episodes

• Identifying inconsistencies in characterization, lore, or established story details

• Suggesting improvements to scenes, dialogue, or story structure

• Assisting with action sequences and emotionally important scenes

• Participating in group story discussions and script revisions

• Supporting the Lead Writer during larger episode or story-arc development

Writers should be comfortable working within established canon and following the overall direction provided by the Creator/Showrunner and Lead Writer. Creative suggestions are encouraged, and contributors will have opportunities to propose ideas, improve scenes, and help develop character interactions, but major changes to established lore, characters, or long-term story direction will require approval.

We are especially interested in writers who are strong at dialogue, character relationships, action, drama, comedy, or script editing. Applicants do not need to specialize in every area.

This position may also include script-editing responsibilities, particularly for applicants who are stronger at revising and polishing existing material than writing complete scripts from scratch.

Reliability, communication, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback are important, as scripts will often go through multiple collaborative revisions before being finalized.

The Additional Writers / Script Editors group is allocated a combined 3% of total distributable project revenue.

This percentage operates as a shared role pool and will be divided among the contracted writers and script editors assigned to the production according to the terms established in their individual agreements.

All selected contributors will be required to sign a written agreement before beginning official production work.
