Patchouli Knowledge is the librarian of the Scarlet Devil mansion, and the Stage 4 boss and Extra Stage mini boss.


She is an incredibly intelligent and old magician, over a hundred years old. However, she is incredibly physically weak, and does not leave the house. Her wisdom and ability is only weighed down by asthma and poor health.

Her voice is wise, in the medium range. Very soft-spoken and monotonous, hardly showing any emotion, but has an aura of wisdom and power.

  • (matter-of-fact, stern) "You, the red-white one! There is no rampaging around in my study."

  • (defeated, complaining) (sob/sniffle) "I can't finish reciting the spells because of my anemia."

  • (Spell Cards) "Metal & Water Sign: Mercury Poison!"                         "Wood & Fire Sign: Forest Blaze!"

I like the amount of command your voice carries, which is something I feel is refreshing given how emotionless Patchouli is. This is particularly done well in your first and third lines, as they are spoken by someone that understand's Patchouli's position of power in her study. Only real complaint here is the heightened voice in the second line, where it could have been a more restrained to make her state all the more sorry. Be a bit more subtle with your emoting there, but overall this was a good audition.
