The Joker appears through old recordings, distorted memories, hallucinations, and fragments of Batman's fractured psyche. He isn't necessarily telling Bruce the truth—he's saying the things Bruce fears might be true.

Voice Direction: Unpredictable, theatrical, playful, sinister, and occasionally disturbingly sincere. The actor should be able to switch from humor to genuine menace instantly.
