Role Type: Supporting, Minor, Background & Future Characters

This role is for voice actors who are interested in The Expressionists but do not feel that any of the currently listed characters are the right fit for their voice.

The series will require a large number of additional characters as the world expands, including TCSA students, instructors, heroes, villains, agency employees, dispatchers, civilians, Expressionists, government personnel, Helix employees, Underground residents, medical staff, reporters, security personnel, family members, and characters who may only appear for a scene or a few episodes.

You do not need to audition for a specific existing character here. Instead, submit something that demonstrates the kind of voice and performance you believe you could bring to the project.

This can be a demo reel, a few different character voices, an original monologue, previous voice work, or a short improvised performance. Natural acting is more important than showing as many voices as possible, and exaggerated character voices are not required.

If your voice fits a character that has not yet been publicly cast, including characters introduced later in the series, we may reach out about that role.

Please feel free to include notes with your audition describing the kinds of characters you are most interested in playing, your comfortable vocal range, accents you can perform naturally, and whether you are interested in recurring roles, smaller characters, background voices, or all of the above.

This listing is also a good place to audition if you simply like the project and believe your voice could be useful somewhere in the world, even if you are not sure where yet.

Roles cast through this section fall under the project's Supporting / Additional Voice Cast revenue pool, which is allocated 2% of total distributable project revenue.

Compensation will depend on the size and recurring nature of the character ultimately assigned. Recurring or substantial supporting characters may receive a defined contractual portion of the pool, while smaller and additional roles will be handled according to the production's contributor agreement and the amount of work involved.

Any actor selected for an official role will receive the relevant character information, workload expectations, compensation terms, and written agreement before beginning production work.
