Nice to meet you! I’m a student in Liverpool studying English, Classics, and History who, despite not studying the arts, has a deep passion for writing, film, video games, and acting.
Though I am a novice overall, some of my relevant experience includes:
Acting: Being a film extra with lines for several ITV productions, running my own YouTube channel (often involving voiceovers - whilst also doing voiceovers for other people’s channels), studying ancient theatre and modern theatre as part of my classics and english courses.
Writing: I have won competitions for my writing such as Verve Poetry Festival, and as a result of this passion I am editor-in-chief for my colleges magazine. I tend to focus on short stories, especially those in the gothic horror genre with psychological, fantastical, and historical elements - all of which is heavily influenced by my studies. My dissertation on liberalism in Weimar Germany gained me almost full marks, and a reward for student of the year in which I was praised for my ability to write and research in unique areas. Recently I have been taking writing commissions on Etsy to improve my craft before applying next year to study English and Classics at Oxford - with the aim of studying similar at masters and PhD whilst working on becoming an author.
Art: I have been doing graphic design for several businesses in the health industry and the video game industry, making posters and marketing. Moreover, I was chief designer for my high schools magazine and the same for my colleges. I also produce digital paintings, mostly art nouveau and classical inspired portraiture.
