As the mythical peacekeeper of divine good and benevolence, on the surface, Xiezhi is seen as a tranquil and graceful creature. However, he turns out to actually be a serious and stern disciplinarian towards almost anyone. Due to his purpose of being a bringer of justice, he is quick to punish any sign of delinquency accordingly and without prejudice. He can even be just as strict towards those he's made his students, intensely observing them to make sure that they are paying attention or are completing the assignments he's given.

He also has no patience for those who only talks but not do much, or even acts slothful in his presence, such as with his archnemesis, the ever-so talkative Qiongqi.
