Jake Mason (17) is a lean, strong demigod at Camp Half Blood and a son of Hephaestus. Unlike some of his more stoic, brooding cabinmates, Jake is a charismatic, talkative, and total silly guy who loves playing pranks. He's completely focused when it's time to build or design gadgets. While he can manipulate fire to make shapes, he ironicly harbors a deep fear of burning to death. In combat, he wields a custom celestial bronze shock baton and utilizes a defensive, tactical style that lets his inventions do the heavy lifting while he avoids direct confrontation, this is a side character. he is energetic, charismatic, and loves a good laugh. When he isn't working, he is cracking jokes, pulling pranks, and acting highly unserious around his siblings
