Mimic

The Mimic, also referred to as M2, is originally started out as a self-learning A.I. program housed in the body of a shapeshifting endoskeleton, created sometime in the mid-to-late 1970s by Edwin Murray to replicate the behavior of and replace his dead son, David Sean Murray. Prior to its creation, its mechanical body was presumably occupied by M1. By mimicking David and assuming his identity, M2 inadvertently triggered a grief-induced mental breakdown in Edwin. Edwin proceeded to lash out, violently beating it for performing the very purpose he designed it for. In turn, he unintentionally poured his rage and pain into M2's systems. This caused it to stop presenting itself as David, instead leading it to mimic Edwin's rage, turning it into a ruthless, sadistic serial killer that will brutally massacre anyone it comes across.
