(lighthearted then turns somber) “My cousin used to joke like that,” *chuckles, then pauses* "but a family of humans just took him from this place. Ah, and the name’s Birch, in case yer wantin’ to know.”
(bidding farewell/bittersweet) “Good luck findin’ yer family, wild thing. Sorry about yer Ma. It’s a shame what happened to her."
