Hi, I am Ossi, or Marco, from Germany.
I am a 37-year-old AuDHD-having guy with a microphone (or rather several microphones) and lots of big dreams. I am a VA and musician (German Rap) with 7 years of theater class and experience as an extra on stage, TV and movies and a bunch of YouTube channels.
I have a calm and clear baritone voice that in its basic form is pretty uniform. But I am able to vary most aspects, like voice, pitch, tempo, timbre, tone, emotion, loudness, and so on pretty broadly. I can also speak pretty fast if need be.
Apart from that, I am also a writer. I have been a video game journalist for two of Germany's biggest sites in the past, and I have also written short stories (some are published) and one finished and several started novels. The finished novel is a fantasy book set in a world based on ancient Greek and Roman mythology and culture but is yet unpublished.
My strengths are in educational voiceovers, narration, audiobooks, role-playing, and e-learning. I have never done actual lip-syncing VA, but I hope I get a chance to learn it.
In writing, my strengths are world-building, character-building, tension, and narrative. One of my weaknesses is finding villain goals that are not done over and over and thus are greater threats. But I am pretty good at "local" threats.
Also, I am a big fan of DnD. Since my first game in early 2024, I have played in 8 groups, doing 13 campaigns and creating one myself (but not yet playing). Currently I am in three active games (Curse of Strahd with my 3rd character already; a 5e port of Pathfinder's Winterqueen with my first character; and a homebrew campaign based on ancient Mesopotamia by an extremely talented female DM, also with my first character). My characters are always distinct and actually role-played by me, including voices and dialects.
This was most incorporated in my first Strahd character, Malkos, a fallen god of bad arts who was banned from the heavens for being annoying. This character could only speak in various voices, dialects, and accents and cast his spells through reciting the worst poems or drawing the worst pictures possible. Unfortunately, he met his untimely end, being slain by the mad mage north of Valakis. Still, this led to him being not only the only soul to ever leave Borovia but also to be reinstated as a god.
