While Peter is focused on proving himself as a hero and gaining Tony Stark's approval, Liz reminds him of the importance of enjoying the life he already has.

Unlike the dangers Peter faces as Spider-Man, Liz represents the everyday world Peter is fighting to protect — his friendships, his school life, and the people he cares about.

Throughout the story, Liz begins to notice that Peter is hiding something. She can tell that there is more going on behind his constant disappearances and mysterious behavior, but she wants to understand him rather than judge him.
