Eugene "Flash" Thompson is one of Peter Parker's classmates and someone who has always seen himself as one of the most important people in the room.

Flash is confident, competitive, and outspoken. He enjoys being admired by others and often tries to prove that he is smarter, cooler, and more successful than everyone around him — especially Peter Parker.

While Flash may act like a typical bully, there is more beneath the surface. His constant need for attention comes from wanting to feel important and respected. He doesn't understand Peter's struggles and often underestimates him, not realizing that Peter is living a much bigger life than anyone knows.

As Spider-Man becomes more popular, Flash becomes one of his biggest fans, completely unaware that the hero he admires is actually the person he constantly underestimates.
