We're looking for a creative Lore Writer to help shape the world of Dottie's Workshop!

As a Lore Writer, you'll work alongside the Project Creator to develop the history, characters, locations, collectibles, and mysteries that make the world feel alive. While the Project Creator will oversee the main story and ensure everything stays true to the project's vision, you'll help expand the universe through environmental storytelling, journal entries, character biographies, hidden secrets, and more.

If you enjoy creating emotional stories, mysterious worlds, and memorable characters, we'd love to have you on the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing and expanding the world of Dottie's Workshop.

• Write character biographies and backstories.

• Create collectible notes, journal entries, letters, and environmental storytelling.

• Help develop the history of the workshop, its inhabitants, and important events.

• Brainstorm mysteries, puzzles, and hidden lore alongside the development team.

• Work with the Project Creator to ensure all lore remains consistent.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.

• Be respectful and open to feedback.

• Strong writing, grammar, and storytelling skills.

• Be able to communicate through Discord.

• Work well as part of a creative team.

• Be able to meet reasonable deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience writing original stories or game lore.

• Enjoys mystery, fantasy, mascot horror, or adventure settings.

• Strong world-building skills.

• Ability to write in multiple styles, from cheerful dialogue to unsettling horror.

• Attention to detail and story continuity.
