Shuichi Saihara is called the Ultimate Detective. He has a partner role in this series.

Shuichi appears to have quite a serious and polite personality. However, he is also stated to have a weak personality, and he is abnormally timid when it comes to speaking. He has a tendency to assume that other people can do things better than him, and he comes across as quite unreliable at first glance. Among the sixteen students, he is a boy who stands out for his submissiveness but also for his level-headedness. However, Shuichi can also have a stronger attitude at times and he can call out other students for their behavior. Shuichi lacks self-confidence, as he claims he hasn't accomplished enough to be called a famous detective. Whenever Shuichi feels depressed, he tends to stay in his room and doesn't eat nor shower and at times he can even feel suicidal, but he can get moving with his friends' support.

Shuichi has a more timid voice, and doesn't sound very confident. There are times where he feel more confident, like investigating a crime scene, or when he knows he has to cheer someone up, but for the most part, he's pretty timid. He should be around the medium high range for a male, and around the medium low range for a female. I'm not looking for a replication of the Japanese or English voice actors, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd like for it to be closer to the Japanese.
