Blackwood Tales
Skratyr for Cursman Blackflame
Known to some as the Fox of the Fallen Star, Cursman Blackflame is a mysterious fox-like being descended partly from Vulperin And Kitsune bloodlines. Though many mistake him for just another Kitsune, his power is something stranger — celestial fire intertwined with dark magic feared across the world. Openly compassionate and fiercely protective, Cursman stands in direct opposition to the world’s assumptions about what beings like him are supposed to become.
Cursman should sound direct, emotionally sincere, and quietly intense. Unlike more elusive or manipulative personalities, he speaks openly and with very little performative masking. His voice carries both warmth and exhaustion, shaped by someone who continues protecting others despite rejection, fear, or mistrust.
There is strength in his delivery, but also restraint. He should sound like someone constantly holding destructive power under control—not through fear of himself, but through determination to never become what others expect him to be.
If you wish to play Cursman, some singing talent is required. You need not be a professional leval singer, but you do need to be able to sing on more than just a basic levle.
Some intimate seens between Cursman and Mira may occur. If you are not comfortable with this, please refrane from auditioning for this charactar.

I’m not asking you to trust me. I’m asking you to let me help.
People see fire and assume destruction. They never notice what it protects.
If the world insists on calling me a monster, then fine. I’ll still save it.
I love the performance! You got cursman's steadyness down pat. One question though... Do you have any singing/vocal experience? I couldn't find anything on your profile, and this role does require some ability to sing.
I knew there was something I forgot to mention. I spent 3 years singing in a church choir about 10 years ago, and have participated in 2 different musicals. My range is a little lower, but I do enjoy singing casually and think I do it decently enough! If there's a song you'd like me to try and record I'd be happy to give that a shot.
Could you give me something you think your good at or are proud of singing?
Just to make sure you catch it I submitted a second "audition" with a minute of me singing. I wasn't sure the best way to get it in your hands, and that seemed the fastest and most direct!
